Daniel Heckman
Chief Executive Officer
Dan is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer at MSI. He specializes in organizational growth, strategic planning, financial management, and technology implementation. In his career he has led numerous federal process improvement and strategy projects, along with many organizational redesign, and technology implementation endeavors within the private sector. Prior to his time at MSI, Dan spent six years as a Marine Corps officer and several years in the private sector in business development and global general management roles within technology and engineering services organizations.
Dan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Grove City College and graduated With Distinction from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business with a Master of Business Administration
Andy Stegmaier
Chief Operating Officer
Andy is the Chief Operating Officer at MSI. He specializes in organizational redesign, program evaluation, strategic planning, strategic communication, and performance management. In addition to his nearly 15 years of consulting experience, Andy held a 24 month management appointment at the GSA during the Obama Administration. Andy is responsible for client delivery across multiple accounts, business development, and consultant development.
Andy graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He also holds a Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from George Washington University Law School.
Nick Surkamp
Principal
Nick Surkamp, Principal, has a proven track record of delivery for marquee clients in the Federal Government and has demonstrated an ability to perform and succeed on high-visibility projects involving business process automation, intelligent automation, and strategic planning. He has worked with executive clients at DOD, VA, and IRS, and currently acts as a senior strategist at the General Services Administration (GSA) for their cutting edge Intelligent Automation (IA) program, a program widely regarded as one of the most advanced and capable in the Federal space.
Nick graduated with honors from North Carolina State University with a B.A. degree in Philosophy and a concentration in Logic. While at North Carolina State, Nick was a member of the varsity men's soccer team where he was both a standout on the field and in the classroom. Outside of work, Nick enjoys coaching youth soccer for Loudoun Soccer Club, where he coaches boys and girls ages 9 to 18.
Susanna Eisenrauch
Vice President
Susanna Eisenrauch, Vice President, brings over a decade of federal consulting experience primarily focused on organizational and financial transformation. Susanna has supported several high-profile governmentwide initiatives and enjoys assisting clients tackle complex problems. At MSI, she is responsible for both client delivery and growth within her portfolio.
Susanna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from James Madison University and is also a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
Matt Troy
Vice President
Matt Troy, Vice President, specializes in transforming government through strategy, program management, and evidence-based policymaking. Throughout his career serving a variety of Federal, state, and local clients, he has developed strategic plans for organizations as large as 100,000 people, advised program managers across more than $1B in programs, and oversaw development of the Evidence Act Toolkits.
Matt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Greensboro College and a Master of Public Administration from the John Glenn College at The Ohio State University. He received a professional certificate in Strategic Management from Georgetown University and is a certified Project Management Professional and Six Sigma Black Belt.
Sean Braziel
Vice President, Corporate Growth
Sean C. Braziel, Vice President of Corporate Growth, is an accomplished senior executive with an impressive track record for driving results in the public and private sector. Globally recognized for forging and developing top-performing teams, he applies specialized business and intelligence experience to create record-breaking revenue generation resulting in enduring business expansion and growth.
A former executive at Palantir Technologies, Braziel served in several capacities in the private sector, ranging from Vice President of Operations to Chief Revenue Officer. Braziel’s extensive background in national security, federal consulting, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies is applied daily in his current role as Vice President for Corporate Growth at Management Science and Innovations (MSI) Consulting in Reston, Virginia.
Retiring in 2016 from active military service, his impressive 20-year tenure as a senior U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence and Reconnaissance officer spanned complex planning, policy, and operations. His innovative work in and across the special operations community, Marine Corps, and CIA received numerous accolades and Congressional recognition.
Alexander Hamilton
Vice President, Continuous Improvement
Alex is the Vice President of Continuous Improvement (CI) at MSI. He brings nearly 10 years of experience delivering successful transformation and improvement initiatives in a variety of industries including: consumer goods, healthcare, tech start-ups, and Fortune 50 companies. Alex has a passion for building high-performing learning organizations and thrives when collaborating with diverse stakeholders to align business needs with practical solutions.
Alex graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and holds a Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Western Michigan University. Alex holds designations as an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Professional Scrum Master.
Patrick is the Vice President of Technology Services, where he specializes in leveraging emerging technologies, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to automate and optimize complex processes. With over a decade of experience, he has established himself as a leader in the industry. Notably, Patrick was among the first Federal employees to earn an advanced certification in RPA (UiPath) while serving as a Budget Analyst for the General Services Administration, leading to the launch of the first Federal RPA factory.
In his role at MSI, Patrick oversees client delivery across multiple accounts, drives business development, and nurtures consultant development, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of technology innovation.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
